Ridged Gourd (Tori Ki Sabzi) Recipe
Hi Foodies,
I have come up with very healthy recipe of Tori ki Sabzi. I didn't like to eat Tori in my childhood but now my mother makes Tori by this recipe and I really like it. I hope if you follow the recipe and make Tori then your kids and all other family members will love it. Lets start the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 Kg Ridged Gourd (Tori)
- 2 Onions (Chopped)
- 3 Tomatoes (Chopped)
- 6 Tablespoon Cooking Oil
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 2 Tablespoon Red Chili Powder (or according to taste)
- 1 Tablespoon Salt (or according to taste)
Method:
Take a Vessel and add oil in it and after its heated then add Onion and saute it until it is soft. Now add Tomatoes and all the spices including Red Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder, and Salt and cook it until the tomatoes are soft and cooked well. Now add Torian in it and cover it and cook on low flame until all Ridge Gourd are cooked and oil is separated.

Pro-Tip: While cutting and cleaning of Tori, keep two points in mind, first is to check that is it bitter or normal in taste, and the other thing to keep in mind is keep them in water just like we clean potatoes or apple gourd (tindy).
