Kulfy Ka Saag Recipe
Hi Foodies,
I have come up with another recipe which you all will like specially the Saag lovers. This Kulfy ka Saag has a very unique tangy and sour taste which is the beauty of this saag. Now starts the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2 Bunches of Kulfa Saag (2 gadhi Kulfy ka Saag)
- 7-8 Cloves of Garlic (Crush them or you can use garlic paste 2 Tablespoon)
- 6 Tablespoons Cooking Oil (or you can use Desi Ghee)
- 3 Tomatoes
- 1 Tablespoon Red Chili Flakes
- 1 Tablespoon Red Chili Powder (or according to taste)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Salt (or to taste)
- 1 Tablespoon Coriander Powder
- 1 Cup Water
Method:
How to Cut and Clean Saag:
For cutting of saag, take the bunches and cut the leaves and the soft portion of it and discard the hard portion of a branch (Moti Dandian Nahi Dalni).
For cleaning of saag, take a bowl and fill some water and now add the saag and wash it thoroughly twice or thrice and drain the water. Wash until all the dirt is removed, because this Saag is usually very dirty other then other types of saag.
Now start the recipe, take a pan or vessel and add the oil and crushed garlic and saute it till golden brown. Now add 1 tablespoon of water in it and add the tomatoes and mix well. Now add red chili flakes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, and coriander, mix well and cook on medium flame until the spices are all cooked and tomatoes are soft. Now add Saag and a cup of water and cover it and let it cook on low flame until the water is absorbed. Now saute it well for 4-5 minutes. The Saag is ready.
