White Sauce Pasta Recipe

 Hi Foodies,

I have come up with another amazing recipe which you all will like. As you can see the name of the recipe in title, now lets start he recipe.

Ingredients:

  1. 3 Cups of Water (to boil Pasta)
  2. 1 Tablespoon Salt
  3. 1/2 Teaspoon Vegetable oil
  4. 1 Cup Penny Pasta
  5. 3 Tablespoon Butter
  6. 3 Tablespoon All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  7. 2 Cups Milk
  8. 1 Pinch Salt (if the butter is salted)
  9. 1 Pinch Black Pepper 
  10. 1 Pinch Oregano
  11. 1 Pinch Red Chilli Flakes(or according to taste)
  12. 1-2 Tablespoon Oil (depending on quantity of vegetables)
  13. 3-4 Cloves of Garlic (cut into pieces)
  14. 1/2 Capsicum (finely chopped), 1/2 Onion (finely chopped), 1/2 Carrot (Cut into pieces), 1-2 Tablespoon Frozen Corn (you can add vegetables of your choice)
  15. 3 slices of Pizza Cheese

Method:

To boil the pasta, take a pot and pour water in it and add salt and oil and let it boil. When it is boiled, add pasta in it and let it boil for 8 minutes on medium flame so it is 80% cooked. 

Meanwhile lets prepare the white sauce, for this take a pot and add butter in it and when it is melted add all purpose flour in it and mix well. The flame should be very low while cooking it continuously stir for 4-5 minutes. Now then off the flame and keep stirring it for 2-3 minutes so that there will be no lumps in it. Now add milk in it and keep stirring slowly while adding milk. Now turn on the flame and keep stirring slowly on medium to high flame until it becomes thick.

Now add a pinch of salt, black pepper, oregano and red chilli flakes and mix well. To check if your white sauce is ready or not, take a spoon and dip it in sauce, if the sauce remains on spoon while taking it out then your sauce is ready and if not then cook until this consistency is achieved. Now turn off the flame.

Now its time to check the pasta, take one pasta in a spoon and cut it in half, if it is cooked them it will be cut smoothly but its not over-cooked. Once it is boiled, drain the water and pour some room temperature water on it and at last pour some oil on macaroni so that it does not stick together.

Now prepare the veggies, take a pan and add oil in it. Add garlic and saute for 4-5 seconds till golden brown, now add onion and cook for 2 minutes, now add carrot, capsicum and corn and saute for 1 minute. Now add some salt (1 pinch) and black pepper (1 pinch), and cover the vegetables and cook on low flame until the vegetables are soft.

Now its time to assemble all things, now turn on the flame and add pasta in white sauce and also add vegetables and mix well. Now add pizza cheese and mix well slowly until the cheese is melted and cover for 5 seconds on very low flame.

Now you can dish out your creamy and cheesy white sauce pasta and decorate it with a pinch of chilli flakes and oregano and sprinkle some fresh coriander if you like and serve it hot. Enjoy the meal.

Note: Only add small quantity of salt in the recipe because butter is salted and cheese also contains some salt in it.
