Potato Cutlets (Allo ki Tikki) with Eggs Recipe
Hi Foodies,
I have come up with another yummy and amazing recipe which is loved by children and good for snack time. Lets start the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 250 Gram Potato (3 Potatoes of Big Size)
- Water (to boil the potatoes)
- 1/2 Tablespoon Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 4 Green Chillies (Grated)
- 1 Small Size Onion (Grated/Chopped)
- 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Flakes (Dara Mirch)
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin Powder (Zeera Powder)
- 1 Tablespoon Coriander Powder (Dhania Powder)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder)
- 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 Teaspoon Salt (or according to taste)
- Fresh Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
- 2 Tablespoon All Purpose Flour
- 1 Tablespoon Corn Flour
- 1 pinch/1 drop of Yellow food color (optional)
- 1 Tablespoon Water
- 1 Cup Bread Crumbs
- Oil (for Deep frying)
Method:
Take a pan and add water in it, add potato, eggs and salt and let them boil. Once they let them cool and take out their covering. Now grate the eggs and potato and mix them. Now add grated onion and chopped green chillies. Now its time to add spices, add red chilli flakes, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt and mix well with hands or spatula. Now add fresh coriander leaves and mix well.
Now grease your hands with oil and take small quantity of mixture and make balls and press them in the shape you like. I prefer round shape cutlets. Now make all the cutlets and set aside.
Now take a small bowl and add corn flour, all purpose flour, yellow food color and water in it and make a thick liquidy batter. now take a cutlet and dip in it and then dip in bread crumbs and prepare all the cutlets likewise. Now heat the oil and start frying the cutlets until golden brown. Now you can enjoy it with Tea or any Chatni you want.
