Masala Red Beans (Masalay wala Lobia/Rajma) Recipe

 Hi Foodies,

Now I am going to share recipe of yummy and spicy Masalay Wala Lobia with all of you. Lets start the recipe.

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 Kg Lobia/Rajma/Red Beans
  2. 7 Cups Water 
  3. 1 Tablespoon Salt
  4. 1/2 Cup Oil
  5. 2 Tablespoon Ginger Paste
  6. 1 Tablespoon Cumin Seeds (Zeera)
  7. 250 gram Tomatoes (1 Pao) (Chopped)
  8. 2 Tablespoon Red Chili Powder
  9. 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  10. 1 Tablespoon Coriander Powder
  11. 1 Tablespoon Chicken Powder (or cube)
  12. 1 Teaspoon Dry Fenugreek (Sookhi Methi) (or Fresh coriander)

Method:

Take a deep pot and put the water and salt in it and also add Red Beans (Lobia) and let it boil until red beans are soft. Now take a vessel or cooking pan, add oil in it and after its heat up add ginger paste and saute it for 5-6 seconds and now add 1 tablespoon of Water (in which Red Beans are boiled) then add cumin seeds and saute for 2-3 seconds and again add 1 Tablespoon of that water, tomatoes and red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chicken cube/chicken powder, and dry fenugreek (Sokhi Methi) and cook then until all the tomatoes are soft and cooked well. (If your Masala is sticking in the pan you can gradually add the Red Bean Water as per your need).

After all the spices are cooked and tomatoes are soft, then add Red Beans along with its water and cook on very low flame for 30 minutes until gravy is formed as per your likings. You can eat it with plain boiled rice or with Chapati...
